One of the most frequently asked questions from our users is \u201cHow to change (adjust) image resolution?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let\u2019s start (see example).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Start the program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1) Click the FILES<\/strong> tab.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Click Add Files<\/strong> or Add Folder<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Add Files:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This will open the Open Files<\/strong> dialog box.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Select the images to be converted, then click the Open <\/strong>button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This will add selected files to the List of files.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Add Folder<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This will open the Browse for Folder<\/strong> dialog box.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Select required folders to be converted, then click the OK <\/strong>button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This will add all files from these folders to the List of files.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

2) Click the ACTIONS <\/strong>tab.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Click Add<\/strong> and select Change Resolution (DPI) <\/strong>action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

New Resolution<\/strong>. Enter the resolution value you want to set.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Change Resolution and Resize image<\/strong> checkbox allows to change resolution and resize image (resample). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

3) Click the RESULT <\/strong>tab.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Output folder.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

You need to decide where you want the files to be placed after converting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you want the images to be placed in the same folder you loaded them from, click The same as input folder<\/strong> check-box.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you want to put them in a different folder, click the Browse<\/strong> button, and navigate to where you want them placed (fig. 3-a).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Use the drop down list to select the Output format<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Clicking the Advanced <\/strong>button, will open the Settings <\/strong>dialog box (with specific parameters for each format).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4) If everything is set the way you want it, click Start<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

FILES tab<\/strong> will open, showing the files being processed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When it’s finished, click the Exit<\/strong> button, and close Able Batch Converter<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now you can navigate to the folder you chose for the output folder, and if everything went the way it’s supposed to, your images with changed resolution should be there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
